About Clemson Sailing Club

Clemson sailing is an entirely student run organization that is both a recreational club and a competitive racing team. Our dock is located next to the campus beach on Lake Hartwell. All sailors are welcome to join regardless of experience level! Club members are invited to participate in our tailgates, Learn to Sail/Race classes, social events, race team practices, and local or traveling regattas. ‘Fridays at Four’ is a great opportunity for all skill levels to head to the club to grill out, swim, and take a boat out.

The race team is a part of the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (SAISA) and competes against both varsity and club teams from other schools. In recent years, race team members have traveled anywhere from Miami to Annapolis for regattas. Travel costs are covered in membership fees.
